I conducted several interventions to understand how different materials and textures affect the way I use and interact with objects and surfaces in my home. The grid of my floor plan represents the areas of intervention, objects of affordances, inside/outside boundaries, and material junctions. I started to unpack what different materials and objects afford, while discovering whether they start to govern interrelationships and activity. I found that my level of comfort and efficiency is directly related to how comfy and soft a material is.
