A Threshold
Identifying transitional spaces and thresholds within my apartment building, from the entrance, rooftop terrace, and service doors. Diagramming these thresholds in regards to private/public space, material changes, circulation, affordances, and moments of pause. Starting to understand the affordances of door handles, glass as a material, and access which can limit social encounters and inclusiveness. The edges of inside/outside also start to blur private/public boundaries.

"The door breaks space in two, splits it, prevents osmosis, imposes a partition. On one side, me and my place, the private, the domestic; on the other side, other people, the world, the public, politics."
